Membership

The Senior (18+) Membership subscription is £20 (or £25 if an England Athletics competion licence is required via Bude RATs as your 'First Claim' club).

Membership subscriptions are due on 1st February 2012 for the 2012/13 year.

The club is affiliated to England Athletics (EA).
Members can opt (on payment of the additional £5) to have their personal details registered with England Athletics by Bude RATs (as their 'First Claim' club).
Such members will receive an EA competition licence number which entitles them to a discounted entry fee when entering events organised under a UK Athletics (UKA) race licence.   (Note, however, that this licence runs from 1 April to 31 March so new applicants will not receive their licence number until April 2012)

The club is also registered with ARC (Association of Running Clubs)
This means that any member can claim the race discount when entering races organised under an ARC permit (such as the Bideford Half Marathon, 10 km & 10 miler events organised by Bideford AAC)

There is also a student membership at £15 (14-18yrs)

Splat the Rat

Splat is the club mascot
- veteran of the Club's August '09 'Blood, Sweat & Tears' relay by run,
bike and kayak around the whole perimeter of Cornwall
- indeed the only club member who completed every leg of that relay
- needs watching, intrepid to a fault; jumped over a cliff and out of
    a kayak during the relay
- also covered almost 100 miles on the 2010 round-Britain Coastal Challenge
- in early 2011 cycled round New Zealand and also did what all intrepid
back-packers do down under - bungee jumping! - see pic )
- is now looking forward to whatever crazy challenges 2012 holds in store
