25th April '10    Sean's London Marathon

The pain of running 26 miles

Start "Good", first few miles "Good",
5 miles bad stomach "Not Good" slowing up, clears at 8 miles,
get to Tower Bridge   interviewed by Rob Walker of the BBC "Good"   not shown on TV "Bad",
get running again   3.45 is in my sites and on target,
get to 18 miles   thigh really sore "Bad", just keep going,
21 miles can’t run very well "Bad", run/walk the last 5 miles "Bad",
see the family at the finish they try to cheer me up "Good"
I’m not happy "Bad".

The ups and downs of a Marathon  you never know when its going to hit you.
