The Mountain Rats had a great fun morning out with Jodi and Wayne on the 1st Mountain Bike technical session...   mixed abilities but no lack of enthusiasm!

After meeting at Stibb, we were taken over a few bumpy fields and some varied downhill stretches so that Jodi and Wayne could assess the RATs before taking them into Stowe woods for the real tech stuff.   The 'gang' all practiced at each of the 'obstacles', with mixed and sometimes amusing results....Roger!

Wayne and Jodi then tied it all together on one big circuit...  good instructors CAN teach old dogs new tricks!

Both Jodi and Wayne have enjoyed success in national championships....
Jodi:
2006 Ladies National Champion and National Series winner
Sponsored and raced for American Bicycle Company, 1st Saab Solomen 24 hour mtb mixed team.
12 hour Bristol Pairs (with Wayne) winners x2 2006, 07
12 hour Newnham night rider pairs winners 2007
  24/12 hour pairs 3rd 2008
  2008 Marathon Mtb 50K champion
Wayne:
  10th National points 2006
  17th national champion 2006
  ranked 5th South England 2005
South of England Single Speed Champion 2001
2008 National Marathon 100k 22nd place ....SO PLENTY FOR US TO AIM FOR!

The skills they were able to demonstrate inspired us all to 'have a go' and we had a great time.   After 2 and a half hours, some still found the energy to out-sprint the rest back up Duckpool hill to Stibb.
