Join Our Club

We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and the useful tips we have learned on the road and trail.

Bude RATs welcome anyone interested in running who would like to join in on one (or more) of our weekly running sessions.

If you think you might like to join but are not sure, come and give us a try one Tuesday evening. You can find us at the Bude Surf Life Saving Club on Crooklets Beach around 18:20 (the sessions start at 18:30).

If you have only recently started running, such advance notice is even more important as it helps us to ensure that you have a really good experience on your first excursion with us.

For runners visiting Bude and wishing to join in one or more of our evening sessions,  you could join us for 4 free sessions over an 8-week period before paying for a membership, we would be very pleased to see you. It will be best if you are able to run 4.5 miles in an hour.

Where we run/train depends on many factors including the weather, wind and the abilities of those who turn up. In summer it tends to be on the cycle track or off-road, for winter evenings we are more dependent on street-lit areas. The coordinator for that evening will slot you into a suitable group and the group will love to show you one of our local runs.

We support runners at all running levels to achieve their wishes and goals whether it is simply to become healthier and fitter in their lives or complete a particular challenge or race.  We do this through a positive, inclusive, friendly and encouraging environment.

Volunteers run Bude RATs with all coaches, officials, committee members and helpers giving their time for free.

If you would like to become a member (or renew an existing membership) please visit SiEntries to fill in a membership form.
